On May 24th, an Art Lecture on Peking and Qunqu Opera of Chinese Classics-Beijing Cultural Lecture sponsored by Beijing NGO, Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries and Beijing Association for Promotion of Peking and Qunqu Opera was successfully held in Beijing Vocational College of Traditional Chinese Opera Art for promoting the prosperous development of Peking and Qunqu Opera. People attending the opening ceremony of the Lecture were Li Xiaoqiang, Executive Vice President of Beijing NGO and Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Guo Aihua and Deng Shaohui, Vice President of Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Wu Guangwei, Secretary General of Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Sun Yumin, a member of the national committee of CPPCC, an eminent artistic and President of Beijing Association for Promotion of Peking and Qunqu Opera. Xu Yuliang, Vice President of Beijing Association for Promotion of Peking and Qunqu Opera; Jin Fei, Vice President and Secretary General of Beijing Association for Promotion of Peking and Qunqu Opera and Wang Rukun, the Vice President of Beijing Association for Promotion of Peking and Qunqu Opera. The opening ceremony was hosted by Pan Yousheng, the Vice President of Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges and Beijing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. There were over 50 people attending the opening ceremony including Tanka Prasad Karki, Ukraine Embassy Counsellor Warwick, Martin, the Chief representative of International Federation Of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies Eastern Asia Office as well as officials of foreignembassies in China from Ethiopia, Serbia, Albania, Suriname and Chile. Representatives from International organizations, foreign specialists and overseas students also attended the ceremony.
Chinese Classics-Beijing Cultural Lecture built a communication platform between Beijing NGO and Foreign Embassies in China as well as International organizations in Beijing through the media of traditional Peking and Qunqu Opera art. The Lecture bore a lot of fruits and laid a foundation for further communication and cooperation.
