From 30th November to 9th December 2008, a delegation with five members including Zhang Lingling, Secretary General of Beijing NGO, Yao Yanhua from Beijng Women’s Federation, Wei Yili from Beijing Municipal Lawyers Association, Zang Luoqian from Beijing Family Planning Association, led by Pan Yousheng, vice president of Beijing NGO, presented the Fifth World Family Summits held in Cairo, Egypt at the invitation of the World Family Organization and TUCEM. The delegation communicated with the local NGOs and built relationships during the visit in Turkey. The whole trip was safe and smooth and the expected purpose had been achieved.
The World Family Summits is a global NGO conference convened by the World Family Organization and is held once a year. The first summit was held in Sanya in Hainan Province of China in 2004 with the theme of "Family and Sustainable Development". Through communication and discussion, the famous "Sanya Declaration" has been approved. The working objectives proposed in the Declaration are identified and listed in the objectives of the United Nations.
