Beijing International Chinese College, founded in September, 2005, is a private higher education institution specialized in international promotion of Chinese. It is the executive director of the Eighth World Chinese Education Institution and the member of Beijing NGO Association for International Exchanges. The College focuses on the foreign students' Chinese study and the international Chinese teaching training, and serves Chinese learners of different nationalities, ages and degrees to happily acquire the Chinese language and learn more about Chinese culture through continuous innovation of Chinese teaching methods. Since its foundation, the College has received three thousand students from over a hundred countries, has held several workshops for international Chinese teachers, and has undergone major projects like the foreign-aid projects: the Chinese Language and Culture Workshop for Government Officials of Developing Countries, A-PLUS International Chinese Teaching Workshop, Workshop for Foreign Chinese Teachers Studying in China, Training for Chinese Teaching Volunteers Dispatched Abroad, and Chinese Culture Festival for Foreign Students in Beijing, which are all entrusted by the Ministry of Commerce of People's Republic of China, the National Office for Teaching Chinese as Foreign Language, Beijing Municipal Education Commission, etc. The College also organized over 22 thousand foreign students to take the HSK, YCT, and BCT. In order to strengthen international cooperation and exchanges, the College has made close cooperative relations with famous colleges, universities and institutions such as Beijing Language and Culture University, Beijing Normal University, Central China Normal University, FangCaoDi Elementary School, Beijing No. 80 High School, and Foreign Language Teaching and Research Press. Meanwhile, it has carried out multi-level and extensive cooperation with education institutions and famous enterprises from the United States, Spain, Italy, France, New Zealand, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Korea.
