Beijing Returned Overseas Chinese Federation was established in October, 1950. For years, the Federation adheres to the principle of overseas Chinese oriented and serving overseas Chinese. In accordance with the law, the Federation represents and safeguards the domestic legitimate rights and interests of returned overseas, their family and overseas Chinese, and concerns about the proper rights and interests of overseas Chinese. It also actively participates in the administration and discussion of state affairs, protects overseas Chinese’s interests and organizes overseas social activities and mass work. Beijing Returned Overseas Chinese Federation now has more than 170 primary organizations, covering districts, counties, sub-districts, institutes, bureaus, head offices and other organizations owned by the Federation in the city.
