Red Cross Society of China Beijing Branch is a local branch of the Red Cross Society of China, and it was founded on October 29, 1928. It abides by the seven principles of International Red Cross Society and Law of the People's Republic of China on the Red Cross Society with the principle of protecting human life and health, displaying humanitarianism and promoting peace and progress. In accordance with law, it helps the government carrying out works on humanity, raises donations, makes disaster preparedness and mitigation, aids the disadvantages groups, trains the mass on the knowledge of health care and self-saving in emergency, advertises, mobilizes and organizes blood and stem call donation without payment and body donation, publicizes health and AIDS prevention, spreads knowledge of international humanitarian law and the International Red Cross Movement, and makes friendly exchanges with the red cross organizations in Taiwan and the red cross society in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macao Special Administrative Region and all countries around the world.
